***NOW ENROLLING FOR 2010-2011***
Do contact us anytime so that if places are available we can let you know
The room setting is just like any home that we all live in, with a gentle colour scheme and natural materials. Children and parents/carers are encouraged to change into slippers to reinforce the feeling of being ‘at home’. When it is outdoor time, a hat, weather proof clothing and a pair of boots will keep children warm as well as let children fully enjoy puddles, mud, sand, trees… We have a collection of books on parenting and crafts. Parents/carers are most welcome to borrow them. A small collection will help us to increase the quantity of the books as well as offer a wider choice for our readers. Rhythm of Year
In the Parent & Toddler Group, the cycle of the year is followed and festivals are celebrated. Observing nature is the key to know the season has moved on. A craft or activity is the centre of the celebration. Here are some examples.
Autumn

Flying socks decorated with autumn leaves at Michaelmas. Lanterns are made at Martinmas
 Winter
Advent is prepared with a candle walk and Christmas decoration making. Epiphany is marked by making red, blue or green crowns.
Spring
Snowdrop bells and floating candles present Candlemas. Eggs are decorated at Easter and placed in a basket with pompom hares, rabbits or chicks.
Summer
May crowns are beautifully worn by the children. Whitsun is marked by making white doves. Blowing bubbles and making fire sticks to celebrate Midsummer.
